Ohio State and Oklahoma both posted convincing wins in their season openers, but odds makers already have a favorite for next Saturday’s clash between the Buckeyes and Sooners.

Dennis Dodd of CBS Sports tweeted on Sunday that Ohio State will open up as an 8.5-point favorite over Oklahoma. The game is being played in Columbus.

Despite a sluggish first half, the Buckeyes cruised past Indiana in Week 1, beating the Hoosiers 49-21 in Bloomington. Saturday, Oklahoma throttled UTEP 56-7.

Right now, Ohio State is ranked No. 2 while the Sooners fill the No. 7 spot, thought there may be some jostling at the top following Florida State’s 24-7 loss to Alabama.

Last year, Ohio State beat Oklahoma 45-24 in Norman.
