Ohio State and Oregon are embarking on a new era of Big Ten football in 2024, and the two sides are set to face off on Oct. 12 in Eugene.

It will be the first-ever season for the Ducks in the conference, along with Washington, USC and UCLA also making the jump from the Pac-12. Both Ohio State and Oregon also appear to be well-positioned for the season ahead.

For Dan Lanning’s program, the Ducks landed veteran QB Dillon Gabriel and former 5-star recruit Dante Moore in the portal to replace Bo Nix. Oregon also picked up some key decisions to return from veteran pieces of the roster.

As for Ryan Day, the Buckeyes shape up similarly after landing QB Will Howard and dynamic RB Quinshon Judkins in the portal. Those newcomers will join a host of returning production for Ohio State, including difference-makers at the line of scrimmage.

Already, FanDuel has released early lines for the Oct. 12 matchup in Eugene, and Oregon shapes up as an early favorite at home. The Ducks are listed as a 1.5-point favorite in Autzen Stadium, traditionally a tough venue for any opponent. Fans looking to get in on all the action of the 2024 season or the remainder of college basketball season can utilize the FanDuel Ohio promo code and links to get started.

Overall, the two sides have faced off 10 times in the past, including the CFP National Championship following the 2014 season. The most recent meeting came in Columbus during the 2021 season, a 35-28 win for the Ducks.
