Ohio State has dipped into the transfer portal for a veteran offensive line piece, adding some depth to the unit after some key departures from the 2022 lineup.

On Wednesday, former Louisiana Monroe starter Victor Cutler announced his commitment to the Buckeyes in the portal. A member of the 2019 recruiting class, Cutler developed into a contributor on the offensive line and entered the portal with 2 years of eligibility following the 2022 season.

Cutler logged starts at both tackle positions and at center during his time with the Warhawks. While his ultimate position for the Buckeyes might be undetermined, his versatility will be more than welcome in Columbus.

Both starting tackles for Ohio State in 2022 — Dawand Jones and Paris Johnson Jr. — are off to the NFL, along with starting center Luke Wypler. While Matt Jones is a key returner up front, Cutler should be a plug-and-play piece up front for a Buckeye offense looking to reload for the 2023 season.
