Ohio State fans already know that CJ Stroud is a fantastic passer and has great rushing ability, and Buckeye quarterback coach Corey Dennis discusses the possibility of using Stroud more as a rusher in the Buckeyes’ offense.
Corey Dennis on C.J. Stroud's ability to run the ball:
"Any time you can get a cheap first down's important. I mean, if he's asked to do it, he'll definitely do it for sure."

“Any time you can get a cheap first down’s important. I mean, if he’s asked to do it, he’ll definitely do it for sure,” Dennis said.
Stroud, who threw for nearly 5,000 yards and 44 touchdowns, is probably more known for his passing ability than his rushing ability, but he’s a threat to do both which is why he is one of the most dangerous players in America.
What’s even scarier is that Stroud has said he is in the best shape of his life.
“I feel the best I’ve ever felt in my life,” Stroud explained. “I (hit my personal record) in squat. I PR’d in bench. In my running, I forgot the mileage I hit, but I PR’d in that. I’m the fastest I’ve been since I’ve been alive.”
That’s a scary thought to know that Stroud could be bigger and better than he was last year. But it sounds like Coach Dennis can keep the quarterback humbled because when asked who was the fastest QB on the team, he jokingly said “Justin Fields.”
Ohio State quarterbacks coach Corey Dennis was asked yesterday who the fastest QB on the Buckeye roster is. His reply?
"Justin Fields."
