Ohio State QB suspended following OWI arrest

Ohio State’s depth at quarterback will be limited for this week’s contest vs. Nebraska. Third-string quarterback Jack Miller has been suspended by the Buckeyes after an OWI arrest, according to 247Sports:


Ohio State confirmed that the redshirt freshman was released from custody and is summoned to appear in court.

Miller is Ohio State’s third-string quarterback behind starter starter C.J. Stroud and backup Kyle McCord. Miller has totaled 101 yards with no touchdowns or interceptions this season.

Ohio State checked in at No. 5 in the season’s first edition of the College Football Playoff Rankings. Ohio State is 7-1 overall and tied for first place in the B1G East. Ohio State is coming off a 33-24 victory vs. Penn State on Oct. 30.

Ohio State’s road matchup at B1G West opponent Nebraska is set for Nov. 6 (12 p.m. EST/FOX). Ohio State leads the all-time series 8-1 and is on a six-game winning streak vs. Nebraska.
