Ohio State running back Master Teague was excellent in the Buckeyes’ Week 2 win over Penn State, clearing 100 rushing yards for the first time since Nov. 9, 2019.
Teague rushed for 110 yards — one off his career high — and a touchdown on 23 carries for the Nittany Lions. Teague’s 23 carries also set a career high.
These are important benchmarks for Teague, who suffered an achilles injury this offseason. When speaking with reporters on Wednesday, Teague said he didn’t have any lingering concerns about the injury. He also said he felt improvement from his performance against Nebraska in Week 1.
Ohio State running back Master Teague said he has no worries, no struggles, no concerns right now with his Achilles injury.
Said he thinks he did “a lot better” against Penn State than Nebraska. “I still got a lot of things I want to improve on … still hungry to do even more.” pic.twitter.com/uxYOGovBWr
