Ohio State stars E.J. Liddell and Seth Towns both pointed toward an unlikely source of “swagger” after the Buckeyes upset victory over Wisconsin on Saturday afternoon.

According to Liddell and Towns, it was Ohio State’s alternate jerseys that key’d the win.

Here’s a look at the jerseys:

“The jerseys definitely had something to do with it,” Towns told reporters via Zoom after the game. “The jersey really gave me a boost.”

Towns scored 10 points on eight shots and helped the Buckeyes jump out to a 32-25 halftime advantage.

According to Liddell, the Buckeyes had a “different kind of swagger” with these uniforms.

Liddell led the way for Ohio State with 20 points on 12 shots. He also had a team-high seven rebounds, plus one steal and one block.

This was arguably Ohio State’s best win of the season, although the Buckeyes do have a victory over Pac-12 leading UCLA on their résumé.

Ohio State hosts Michigan State on Jan. 31.
