Lucas Oil Stadium is going to be invaded by Ohio State students on Saturday.

The Buckeyes didn’t clinch their spot in the B1G Championship Game until after the 62-39 win over Michigan last weekend, but in just a few days, student tickets have already sold out.

According to Colin Hass-Hill of Eleven Warriors, Ohio State has already sold out of the 10,250 student tickets it was allotted for the B1G Championship Game. Lucas Oil Stadium has a capacity of 70,000.

Ohio State fans and students tend to travel well, so it’s not surprising that the student ticket allotment is already gone. But it’s still eye-opening just how quickly those spots were taken.

While Northwestern won’t bring the same number of fans, students from Evanston will also be in full force. Thanks to free tickets and transportation to and from Indianapolis offered by the university, more than 3,500 Northwestern students will be headed to Lucas Oil Stadium.

That’s nearly half of the student population in Evanston. It will take approximately 60 buses to transport the fans.

The commitment from both fanbases should provide an exciting environment on Saturday.
