Ohio State suffered its first post-bowl transfer portal entry following its ugly loss to No. 9 Mizzou Friday night.

Jaden McKenzie, a 5th-year senior with the Buckeyes, will play his final season of eligibility elsewhere after seeing the field sparingly in Columbus. The former 3-star prospect has been with the Buckeyes since 2019 and amassed 20 total tackles, 2.5 tackles for loss and a forced fumble in 22 appearances.

And his best year was probably this past season. McKenzie posted 10 tackles with 1.5 tackles for loss in 9 appearances. He did not post any stats in last night’s loss to Mizzou.

Now, McKenzie is not the first Ohio State player to enter the portal since the end of the season. Far from it, actually. The Buckeyes have lost the likes of RB Chip Traynum (Kentucky), QB Kyle McCord (Syracuse), DL Omari Abor (SMU) and RB Evan Pryor (Cincinnati) among many others.

In total, 17 Buckeyes have entered the portal since it opened on December 4.
