Ohio State has capable tight ends. No question about it.

However, it is the wide receivers that get all the publicity as pass-catchers. That being said, Buckeye tight end Luke Farrell scored on a 21-yard pass from quarterback Justin Fields on Saturday against Michigan State that extended the lead to 10.

You can’t tell from the clip above, but, Farrell was pretty emotional after scoring. The Perry, Ohio native had one catch in the first five games this season and scored his first TD of the year on that play.

“Amazing. Almost cried,” Farrell said. “It’s just the accumulation of all the work we put in to get one win and to be a part of that on the scoreboard at my dream school. I mean, why wouldn’t I be emotional?”

Farrell has now scored two TDs in his three-year Buckeye career, including one from 2018.
