Ohio State’s Twitter account is having some fun with the Jim Harbaugh contract news.

After the reports of Harbaugh’s extension came across on Thursday night, the Buckeyes responded with a simple troll.

They liked the tweet.

The Buckeyes also invoked the Trey Sermon meme that has been making the rounds since Ohio State’s victory over Clemson on New Year’s Day.

This is an excellent troll from one rival to another, and something we should see more often in college football.

It’s also probably true. Ohio State has had Harbaugh’s number, and the gap between the two schools might be widening rather than narrowing.

OSU has won eight straight games vs. Michigan, including five in a row vs. Harbaugh. The Wolverines have only been within 10 points once in those five losses — a double overtime defeat in 2016.

Ohio State’s margin of victory over Michigan has increased in three straight games, culminating in a 56-27 defeat in 2019. These programs did not meet in 2020 due to a COVID-19 outbreak at Michigan.
