Another week, another poll with the Buckeyes at the top.

The defending national champions earned the top spot in the Coaches Poll once again after defeating Hawaii 38-0 on Saturday. The Buckeyes were playing on short rest following Monday’s opening night victory against Virginia Tech.

Ohio State made history as the first team to ever receive a unanimous preseason No. 1 ranking in the Associated Press poll.

The Buckeyes haven’t relinquished been anything less than No. 1 since last year’s College Football Playoff.

Michigan State, who the Buckeyes will take on in November, moved into the top four of the Coaches Poll for the first time this season after knocking off No. 5 Oregon on Saturday night.

The Buckeyes don’t play a ranked team until they square off with Michigan State in November.

Ohio State will be on normal rest for next Saturday’s showdown against Northern Illinois.
