The College Football Playoff conversation is always lingering in college football. It doesn’t matter that we’re only three weeks into the young 2019 season, the discussion is alwasy at the forefront.
On Sudnay, following the third week of the season, ESPN updated its College Football Playoff predictor, listing the 10 teams with best chance to land in one of the top four spots. Two of those teams are from the B1G — Ohio State and Wisconsin.
Currently, the Buckeyes have the third-best percentage to play for a national title this year, coming in at 43 percent. They are behind Clemson (78 percent) and Alabama (75 percent). Wisconsin was also included, but was much further down. The Badgers are listed with a 12 percent shot to make the College Football Playoff, or the eighth-highest percentage.
Ohio State now has the third-best chance to reach the playoff, per the Allstate Playoff Predictor. And checking in with a 9% shot to reach the CFP is…UCF. pic.twitter.com/C9kgP99Ya9

Surprisingly, Michigan was not listed in the top 10. ESPN had previously had Michigan as the team with the best percentage out of the B1G to earn a spot in the four-team field.
There’s a ton of season left and the predictor will probably change at least a dozen times in the coming weeks. But for now, it’s the Buckeyes, the Badgers or bust for the B1G.
