Ohio State has produced some great receivers in the past. This season is no different.

Marvin Harrison Jr., Emeka Egbuka, and Julian Fleming talked about what makes the receiving core in Columbus stand out.

For Harrison, he likes how versatile the group is.

“We can do everything,” said Harrison. “Everything a receiver is asked to do. We try to do that at a high level.”

Emeka Egbuka has been a player who has stepped in Jaxon Smith-Njigba’s absence as well. He lead the team in receiving yards with 735 coming into the Penn State game. He highlighted how the receivers are always pushing each other to be the best they can be.

“We’re always competing to be the best version of ourselves and compete against each other to make us better,” said Egbuka. “I think that’s a big component to our success.”

Julian Fleming has had a slow start to the season, but is coming off of a 100+ yards receiving performance against Iowa. The work ethic among Ohio State’s wideouts stands out to him.

“We wanna be the best wide receiver group in the country,” said Fleming. “The work ethic inside of our room, it’s off the charts. It’s another year that we’ve gotten to build those bonds closer.”

The perseverance of this WR group has been a big storyline with Smith-Njigba going down. We’ll see how far it gets them.
