This came out of nowhere.

Chase Young, Ohio State’s stud defensive end that has been climbing up Heisman Trophy watch lists recently is facing an indefinite suspension and will miss the Maryland game this Saturday.

Ohio State confirmed the report Friday morning and released a statement:

“Ohio State’s Chase Young will not play in this Saturday’s game between the Buckeyes and the Maryland Terrapins due to a possible NCAA issue from 2018 that the Department of Athletics is looking into.”

What is the possible NCAA issue? We don’t know. Details regarding the matter have not been released at this time. Ohio State, undoubtedly, is better with potentially the most talented player in the country.

At the least, we’ll get to see how the Buckeyes fare against a struggling Terrapins team at noon ET on Saturday in Columbus. The game will be televised on FOX.
