Urban Meyer delivered some good news on Dante Booker during the B1G coaches teleconference on Tuesday, saying that the Ohio State linebacker has been cleared to practice.
“It’s good news,” Meyer said of Booker. “He’s going to practice today.”
Booker had missed the Buckeyes’ last two games because of a concussion. He cleared protocol this week and will be able to practice, and hopefully will be back on the field this weekend in the season finale against Michigan.
Both Booker and fellow linebacker Jerome Baker missed Ohio State’s game two weeks ago against Michigan State, a game the Buckeyes won 48-3. Baker returned last week against Illinois but Booker sat out in the home finale.
Booker has tallied 31 tackles in nine games this season, including five stops for loss. He’s also been credited with two sacks and an interception.
Ohio State travels to Ann Arbor on Saturday to play the Wolverines. “The Game” will start at noon ET and will air on FOX.
