Ohio State forward Kaleb Wesson will enter his name into the 2019 NBA Draft, but plans to keep a return to Columbus as a possibility.
Head coach Chris Holtmann told reporters on Wednesday that Wesson plans to receive feedback from the NBA before making a decision on his future.
“I want to make that clear that he is going to go through this process and maintain his NCAA eligibility,” Holtmann said, according to Eleven Warriors. “I fully support him in going through this process. We’re going to walk through it with them. So that process has begun about a week ago, and we’ll see where it leads. We’ve begun to gather some information from the advisory committee for guys that are going through this process, and that’s been helpful and it’ll continue to be as we go through it. I know Kaleb is anxious to get feedback.”
Wesson had an outstanding year for the Buckeyes, leading the team in points (14.6) and rebounds (6.9) per game. He also averaged 1.9 assists and shot 50 percent from the floor.
Wesson just completed his sophomore season at Ohio State and still has two years of eligibility left, should he decide to return to Columbus.
