Ohio State is an annual powerhouse on the recruiting trail, with many amazing classes throughout the years. So this recent comment by Ohio State director of player personnel Mark Pantoni carries plenty of weight.

Pantoni has seen his share of incoming classes and he believes this year’s edition is the best crop yet.

“This is the most talented freshman class we’ve ever had,” Pantoni said via Yahoo Sports.

The 2021 Ohio State class is ranked No. 1 in the nation by Rivals and No. 2 overall by 247Sports. Ohio State is stacked with seven 5-star prospects and 13 4-star prospects, according to 247Sports.

Some of the key additions include: quarterbacks Kyle McCord and Quinn Ewers, tailback TreVeyon Henderson, wide receiver Emeka Egbuka, defensive end J.T. Tuimoloau, and emerging defensive back Denzel Burke.

The increased depth will be an excellent asset as Ohio State ramps up for another run at the B1G crown after falling to Alabama in last season’s national championship game.

Ohio State kicks off the 2021 season with a primetime matchup at Minnesota on Sept. 2 (8 p.m. EST/FOX).
