The last few days have been filled with College Football Playoff news, though not in the most positive way.

First, three Clemson players failed a drug test and are facing suspension for the Cotton Bowl. Then, three Alabama players were suspended for a violation of team rules and didn’t make the trip to Miami. Now, Oklahoma quarterback Kyler Murray is reportedly “under the weather.”

Oklahoma was holding its media appearance on Wednesday to preview Saturday’s matchup against the Crimson Tide in the semifinal round of the College Football Playoff. According to SoonerScoop.com, a school official said that Murray would not attend the media day, as he wasn’t feeling well.

Murray was the year’s Heisman Trophy winner after throwing for 4,053 yards and 40 touchdowns while completing passes at a nearly 71 percent clip. He guided the Sooners to a 12-1 record and a Big XII title.

Saying Oklahoma will need their star quarterback at full strength against Alabama is a massive understatement. The Crimson Tide were a perfect 13-0 on the year, defeating every opponent in the regular season by at least three scores. Alabama overcame a two-touchdown deficit in the second half to defeat Georgia in the SEC Championship Game.

With Murray under the weather, everyone will be keeping a watchful eye on the Heisman quarterback.

Oklahoma and Alabama square off in the Orange Bowl on Dec. 29 at 8:00 p.m. ET.
