Oklahoma State makes FBS history with shocking win over No. 6 Oregon

Oklahoma State did the unthinkable on Saturday afternoon in Stillwater.
One season after losing at Oregon by a ridiculous 69-3 score, the unranked Cowboys took down the 6th-ranked Ducks, 39-31, handing what was supposed to be a national championship favorite its first loss of the season before the first whiff of fall.
But Oklahoma State, which lost at Tulsa in its season opener before turning the college football world on its ear in its home opener, did something else on Saturday besides just pulling off the shocker. The Cowboys became the first team with at least a 10-game losing streak to beat a top-10 team, according to a stat provided by ESPN.
After winning its season opener last season, Oklahoma State lost its last 11 games, finishing the 2025 season at 1-11. Throw in that loss to Tulsa in the 2026 season opener and the Cowboys had dropped 12 straight games overall and 21 games in a row against FBS opponents.
Both of those losing streaks came to a sudden and stunning end on Saturday, as Oklahoma State improved to 1-1 and sent its guest from the Big Ten to 1-1.
