Ole Miss is going the extra mile to celebrate ‘Eli Manning Day’

Ole Miss is giving more than 110% effort with celebrating “Eli Manning Day” this Saturday.
In advance of its game against LSU, the school has painted each end zone with “MANNING” spelled out to recognize the great quarterback. Manning’s number (10) will be retired during the game.

A lot of schools don’t think to do things like this but when there’s an opportunity to make a recruiting pitch to high school players on campus, you do it.
Manning played for the Rebels from 2000-03 and had 3 outstanding seasons. His sophomore year was when he burst onto the scene as he finished with 2,948 yards passing and a 31 touchdown pass to 9 interception ratio.
His junior and senior year, he threw for at least 3,400 yards plus had 50 combined touchdown passes. For Manning’s career, he finished with 10,119 yards with 81 touchdowns to 35 interceptions.
Manning then went on to have a Hall of Fame career with the New York Giants as he won 2 Super Bowls and threw for over 57,000 yards and 366 touchdown passes.
