We are 8 weeks through the season, and every analyst is starting to make their playoff predictions and Heisman hopefuls list.
According to Saturday Down South, ESPN analyst Paul Finebaum gave his Heisman list this morning on the Sunday morning edition of SportsCenter.
He only had one B1G player named as a Heisman hopeful. Here are Finebaum’s top 4 Heisman Hopefuls:
- Matt Corral – Ole Miss
- Bryce Young – Alabama
- C.J. Stroud – Ohio State
- Caleb Williams – Oklahoma
Michigan State fans will not be happy looking at Finebaum’s list as RB Kenneth Walker III is not on here.
Walker III this season has been one of the best RBs in the country; he has 152 rushing attempts for 997 yards on 6.6 yards per carry, 9 rushing touchdowns and a receiving touchdown.
The only B1G player on this list is Ohio State’s QB C.J. Stroud, who is playing better and better each week, especially since the loss to No. 10 Oregon as Ohio State has dusted everyone in its path.
Stroud is 125-of-185 for a 67.6% completion rate, throwing for 1,965 yards, 22 touchdowns and 3 interceptions.
These B1G Heisman hopefuls have massive tests next week as Stroud and Ohio State take on No. 7 Penn State and Walker III and Michigan State take on No. 6 Michigan.
