Miles Sanders proved just how tough he was on Sunday during the Philadelphia Eagles’ playoff game against the Seattle Seahawks in the Wild Card round.

According to a report from NBC Sports, Sanders was spotted on crutches and wearing a brace on his left knee on Monday, just one day after the Eagles dropped a 17-9 decision to the Seahawks. The rookie running back reportedly played through an MCL sprain in the second half of Sunday’s game.

Sanders had already been battling a lower ankle injury early during the practice week.

Sanders finished the game with 14 carries for 69 yards and three receptions for eight yards. Seven of his carries came in the final 30 minutes of the game. According to NBC Sports, the injury will not require surgery.

In his rookie season, Sanders carved out a huge role in Philadelphia’s backfield. He rushed for 818 yards and three touchdowns on 179 carries this season, posting a 4.6 yards per carry average. He also totaled 50 catches for 509 yards and three scores.

Not a bad year for the rookie. And after toughing out two injuries to finish the game on Sunday, he’ll definitely earn more respect from his teammates in the locker room moving forward.

Philadelphia ended the season with a 9-7 record, clinching the NFC East.
