The calendar has turned to November, which means we’ve hit that wonderful time of the year when the most important stretch of the college football season is upon us, and the college basketball campaign is just tipping off.
College hoops action gets underway on Tuesday night, and it’s a busy evening in the B1G. Nine teams from the conference will be in action on opening day, giving fans a plethora of basketball options to choose from.
The night will be highlighted by the 9:30 p.m. clash between No. 1 Michigan State and No. 2 Kentucky on ESPN. But there are eight other teams that will be on the hardwood. Here’s a look at the schedule (times are ET):
- Appalachian State vs. Michigan (7 pm)
- Western Illinois vs. Indiana (7 pm)
- Maryland Eastern Shore vs. Penn State (7 pm)
- Holy Cross vs. No. 7 Maryland (7:30 pm)
- Nicholls State vs. Illinois (8 pm)
- Cleveland State vs. Minnesota (8 pm)
- Saint Mary’s vs. Wisconsin (9 pm)
- UC Riverside vs. Nebraska (9 pm)
- No. 1 Michigan State vs. No. 2 Kentucky (9:30 pm)
There will be two games on Wednesday night, and one game on Thursday, as well:
- Green Bay vs. No. 23 Purdue (Wed, 7 pm)
- Cincinnati vs. No. 18 Ohio State (Wed, 8:30 pm)
- Bryant vs. Rutgers (Thurs, 7 pm)
