The Oregon Ducks just waddled into Michigan and landed a commitment from the state’s top overall prospect in the Class of 2027.

Dakota Guerrant announced on Tuesday that he will play for the Ducks at the next level, giving Oregon its second 5-star prospect so far this cycle. Guerrant, who stands at 6-foot-2, 195 pounds, hails from Harper Woods, Michigan and chose the Ducks over the Wolverines, Ohio State and Texas A&M.

Guerrant is the second highest-rated prospect to commit to the Ducks thus far, just behind 5-star edge Rashad Streets. He’s the second receiver pledge, joining 3-star prospect Malachi Garlington.

The Ducks now have a top 5 class in the 247Sports rankings and the No. 1 class in the Big Ten, far ahead of USC, UCLA and Penn State. Guerrant is the 18th addition of the cycle.

According to 247Sports’ composite rankings, Guerrant is considered to be the No. 36 overall prospect in the Class of 2027, as well as the No. 5 wide receiver and, as stated, the No. 1 player out of the Great Lakes State.
