Oregon football added a commitment from interior offensive lineman Lex Mailangi on Wednesday, landing his pledge over offers from UCLA, Cal and SMU.

Mailangi hails from Santa Ana, California and attends Mater Dei high school. He stands at 6-foot-3, 350 pounds and moved all along the line at Mater Dei, taking snaps at tackle and center. He perhaps best projects as a left guard.

Oregon’s 2027 class is among the very best in the country thus far. The Ducks rank No. 5 per 247Sports, which ranks No. 1 among Big Ten programs ahead of UCLA, USC, Ohio State and Penn State.

Mailangi is the 20th player to commit to Oregon in the Class of 2027 and the 4th offensive line prospect added to the class, joining 4-star OT Cameron Wagner, 4-star IOL Gus Corsair and 3-star OT Avery Michael. Mailangi is the lowest-rated of these 4 prospects.

According to 247Sports’ composite rankings, Mailangi is considered to be the No. 753 overall prospect in the Class of 2027, as well as the No. 47 interior offensive lineman and the No. 59 prospect out of the state of California.
