Oregon added another major piece to its 2025 recruiting class on Wednesday afternoon.

The Ducks picked up a commitment from 4-star offensive lineman Alai Kalaniuvalu. A Utah native, Kalaniuvalu now attends Bishop Gorman High School in Las Vegas. Kalaniuvalu also had offers from programs such as Utah, Michigan and USC.

Kalaniuvalu is a significant pickup for the Ducks in this class. He’s the No. 189 overall player and the No. 11 interior offensive lineman in the country for this class, per 247Sports Composite rankings. He’s also the No. 4 player from the state of Nevada.

Kalaniuvalu could be an early contributor at guard or center for Oregon when he arrives in 2025. He’s listed at 6-foot-4, 300 pounds, and will face elite high school competition while playing for Bishop Gorman in Las Vegas.

Oregon has been on a recruiting hot streak this month and is now up to 16 commits in the class of 2025. The Ducks own the nation’s No. 4-ranked class, per 247Sports Composite rankings. Oregon is looking to finish off back-to-back top-10 high school classes under Dan Lanning.

Kalaniuvalu is the third offensive lineman to join Oregon’s class so far. He’s now Oregon’s highest-ranked commit at that position in the 2025 cycle.
