Oregon is starting July with a bang on the recruiting trail. The Ducks added a pair of highly-touted prospects on the first day of the new month.

Hayden Stepp is the newest addition to Oregon‘s 2027 recruiting class. The standout defensive back announced Wednesday that he wants to play for Dan Lanning’s program. His announcement came shortly after Tae Walden Jr. joined the class.

Out of Las Vegas (Nevada) Bishop Gorman High School, Stepp is listed as measuring 6-3 and 190 pounds. On the 247Sports Composite, Stepp is rated 4-stars, the No. 1 player in the state of Nevada, No. 7 cornerback and No. 49 prospect overall in the Class of 2027.

As an elite prospect, Stepp drew interest from coast to coast. His 40 scholarship offers included LSU, Miami, Michigan, Michigan State, Nebraska, Ohio State, Oklahoma, Ole Miss, Penn State, Stanford, Tennessee, Texas A&M, USC and Washington.

For Wednesday’s big decision, Stepp narrowed it down to Oregon, Alabama and Cal.
