Oregon DL Jordan Burch receives national recognition after Week 6 win

Oregon is starting to resemble the team many people thought it would in the offseason, as the Ducks have won each of their last 3 games by at least 21 points.
In the most recent win against Michigan State, the defense dominated by allowing only 250 yards and 10 points. There were many defensive players who played really well, but defensive lineman Jordan Burch was a star on Saturday night.
He finished the game against the Spartans with 4 tackles, 2.5 sacks and 1 fumble recovery and earned national recognition for the performance. The Reese’s Senior Bowl honored Burch as the Co-Defensive Player of the Week for his efforts.

While the Ducks have been playing well, next Saturday is a major step up in the quality of opponent. Since the start of the college football season, October 12 has been a day that has been circled on every fan’s calendar.
There are many big-time games scheduled for that day, but none of them are bigger than No. 2 Ohio State at No. 3 Oregon. This is the first big-time home game for Oregon as a member of the B1G and will give the Ducks a real gauge on where they truly are among the conference’s best.
Despite this game being played in Autzen Stadium, the Buckeyes hit the road as 4-point favorite per bet365. We’ll see if Oregon can flip that around with a key performance at home.
Kickoff is scheduled for 7:30 p.m. ET in Eugene, and the game is the primetime game on NBC.
