Oregon star wide receiver Evan Stewart suffered an injury in practice this week, according to a report.

That’s per 247Sports’ Matt Zenitz, who says Oregon fears it’s a “significant” injury. His report, along with Cameron Salerno, states that Stewart’s status for the 2025 season is now in-doubt due to the lower-body injury.

If Stewart does miss all of 2025, it would be devastating news for a Ducks’ offense that is already trying to replace Tez Johnson and Traeshon Holden this offseason. Stewart was set to be Oregon’s clear No. 1 option at wide receiver this fall.

The former 5-star prospect and Texas A&M transfer caught 48 passes for 613 yards and 5 touchdowns last season. If Stewart does miss all of 2025, that means Justius Lowe will be the program’s top-returning wide receiver for this fall. Last year, Lowe caught 21 passes for 203 yards and 1 touchdown.

With the spring transfer window closed, there may not be much Dan Lanning and Oregon can do to add playmakers to the roster. The Ducks brought in 1 notable wide receiver transfer this offseason: former Florida State receiver Malik Benson.

Oregon has not yet confirmed Stewart’s injury status for 2025.
