Oregon has announced its team captains for its top-25 matchup against Illinois in Week 9.

The Ducks will be represented by running back Noah Whittington, offensive lineman Marcus Harper II, linebacker Teitum Tuioti and defensive back Dontae Manning.

Here’s the official announcement:

Whittington is Oregon’s second-leading rusher so far this season with 214 yards on the season. He’s averaging 4 yards per carry and has mostly served as a reserve behind starter Jordan James.

Harper joins Whittington as Oregon’s other offensive captain in this game. He’s a senior offensive lineman who has been stout up front for the Ducks so far in 2024.

Tuioti is 4th on the team in total tackles and has also been credited with 3 tackles for loss and 2 sacks. Tuioti is just a sophomore but he has already established himself as a leader in Oregon’s defensive line room.

Manning is a senior who has been a contributor in all 4 of his seasons in Eugene. He has 7 tackles and 2 pass deflections on the season.

Oregon is looking to move to 8-0 with a win on Saturday against the Illini. The Ducks are coming off of a 35-0 victory against Purdue in Week 8.
