Just to make matters worse, Nebraska suffered another tough loss on opening weekend.
Four-star quarterback Terry Wilson, who was originally committed to the Huskers, flipped to Oregon after making an official visit to Eugene over the weekend.

The irony is that Wilson will join Oregon offensive coordinator Scott Frost, who was the starting quarterback on Nebraska’s 1997 national championship team. Many were hoping that Frost, a Nebraska native, would be the guy to take over for Bo Pelini. Instead, the Huskers got a different coach in Oregon.
The 6-2 signal caller from Oklahoma had been on Nebraska radio as recently as Tuesday talking about his commitment to come to Lincoln.
But he was able to attend the Ducks’ 61-42 victory against Eastern Washington, which is where current Oregon quarterback Vernon Adams transferred from.
The two had time before Saturday to get acquainted.

He’s rated the No. 214 player and the 12th-ranked dual-threat quarterback in the 2016 class.
Three-star pro-style quarterback Patrick O’Brien is Nebraska’s only other signal-caller in the 2016 class.
