According to Andrew Lind, Ohio State will be rocking some new threads later this season.

The Buckeyes will reportedly bust out these black alternates when they take on Penn State on Oct. 17 for the 8 p.m. kickoff in Columbus.

Lind, a uniform aficionado, said that the Nike swoosh on the chest and the jock tag were removed via photoshop. That will be available when they are sold for retail.

The jerseys and pants will reportedly be all black with scarlet letters and gray trim. They will also be paired with scarlet shoes and black helmets, according to Eleven Warriors.

If the Buckeyes do roll out the all-black look, it would be contrary to what OSU beat writer Tim May reported last year. He was told by an OSU spokesman that that the team had “no plans” to wear the black alternates.

It’s clear that the plans are in motion for a new look in primetime.
