Two days after Mike Weber earned the top honor for a freshman at Ohio State, he was dealt some frustrating news.
Eleven Warriors first reported that Weber tore his meniscus and will be out of action for 3-4 weeks.
Minor setback for a major comeback …God got plans man
— Mike Weber (@mikeweberjr) August 18, 2015
Weber was the second freshman to have his stripe removed after offensive lineman Isaiah Prince broke the seal.
Weber was in the news a week earlier after wearing an “Imported from Detroit” shirt to the team hotel for fall camp. He had originally committed to Michigan but following the firing of Brady Hoke, Weber changed his commitment to the Buckeyes on signing day.
The freshman had hoped to compete for Ezekiel Elliott’s understudy role, but will now be sidelined until the start of the regular season.
