Outstanding end to 2019 NFL season results in amended contract for 49ers RB, former Boilermaker Raheem Mostert

A superb ending to the 2019 NFL season has resulted in an amended contract for San Francisco 49ers running back and former Purdue standout Raheem Mostert.
Brett Tessler, Mostert’s agent, reported the news on Monday. After lengthy talks and a stand-still between the two parties, the 49ers and Mostert appear to have come to a deal.
“Just finalized a new deal for Raheem Mostert with the San Francisco 49ers,” Tessler said on Twitter. “Happy we got things worked out and looking forward to him having another great season there. Thanks to the organization for taking care of him.”
Per NFL.com’s Ian Rapoport, the new contract for Mostert is loaded with incentives, which could double his pay in 2020. According to Rapoport’s report, Mostert could see more than $5 million if he achieves those incentives with the addition of his signing bonus.
Mostert is scheduled to make $2.875 million in 2020. No years were added to his contract.
Mostert gained a ton of attention following his breakout performance in the 49ers’ NFC Championship Game victory over the Green Bay Packers. He totaled 220 rushing yards and 4 touchdowns on 29 carries, leading San Francisco to a 37-20 victory.
During the regular season, Mostert racked up 772 yards and 8 touchdowns on the ground and added 180 yards and two scores as a receiver.
Mostert attended Purdue, where he played from 2011-14.
