P.J. Fleck surpasses Jerry Kill in total wins at Minnesota following victory over Nebraska

Minnesota head coach P.J. Fleck surpassed Jerry Kill in wins as head coach after Saturday’s 30-23 against Nebraska.

The win got Fleck to 30 career wins at Minnesota after Kill finished with 29. Fleck is 30-21 overall as the Golden Gophers head coach, while Kill finished right at . 500 (29-29).

It was an enormous win for Minnesota on Saturday its record is now 4-2 heading into the 2nd half of the season. Quarterback Tanner Morgan finished with 209 passes and a 2 touchdown pass to 2 interception ratio while also completing 20 of 24 passes.

The Golden Gophers also ran the ball effectively. Bryce Williams was the star in the backfield after he finished with 17 carries for 127 yards and a touchdown. He also averaged nearly 8 yards a carry.

Receiving-wise, it was Chris Autman-Bell who balled out for Minnesota. He finished with 11 receptions for 103 yards, plus a touchdown. Brevyn Spann-Ford and Mike Brown-Stephens also had touchdown receptions, respectively.

Fleck will go for No. 31 when Minnesota hosts Maryland next Saturday at 3:30 p.m. ET.
