Don’t look now, but Minnesota is 8-0 and dominated Maryland, 52-10, on Saturday. The Golden Gophers haven’t allowed more than 10 points in each of the last three weeks and have beaten Big Ten opponents by an average of almost 27 points per game.
In the final month of the season, Minnesota’s schedule will get significantly tough, as the Golden Gophers meet three teams ranked in the Top 25, but head coach P.J. Fleck isn’t all that concerned with the upcoming opponents. Fleck said Saturday after his latest win that Minnesota “do whatever they want to do.”
Fleck also addressed senior running back Rodney Smith setting a new program record for all-purpose yards in a career Saturday.
"I'm so glad she's here, I think she understands that too. It's going to take all of us." -Coach Fleck, on the vision for the program and President Joan Gabel joining the team.
