USC’s game against Colorado on Saturday has been canceled, the Pac-12 announced Thursday night.

The decision was made due to the Trojans not having the minimum number of available scholarship players, per the release:

This is the third Pac-12 game this week to be canceled. Washington-Washington State and Utah-Arizona State were also impacted by COVID-19 this week.

If there’s any good news here, it’s that Colorado has apparently already lined up a replacement.

According to Jon Wilner, the Buffs will likely play San Diego State this weekend instead:

Last week, the Pac-12 approved a rule that would allow its members to schedule nonconference games.

Still, it’s a big loss for the conference as both USC and Colorado are undefeated and this game could have been a good showcase for the conference.
