The list of Power 5 programs declining bowl invitations at the end of the 2020 season is up to a baker’s dozen.

On Friday, Brett McMurphy of Stadium reported that Washington has become the latest team to pass on playing in a bowl game at the end of the year. The Huskies cite medical reasons behind their decision to not play in a postseason contest this year.

With Washington opting out of a bowl game, 13 Power 5 programs have decided to pass on a postseason appearance in 2020. Here’s the complete list so far:

  • Virginia
  • Pitt
  • Boston College
  • Georgia Tech
  • Virginia Tech
  • Louisville
  • Florida State
  • Kansas State
  • Stanford
  • UCLA
  • Washington
  • Washington State
  • Utah

So far, 7 teams from the ACC, 5 from the Pac-12 and one from the Big 12 have opted out of bowl games. No teams from the SEC or B1G have opted out at this time, though there’s a belief that more announcements are expected to come.

Bowl game assignments are expected to be made on Sunday.
