Both receivers were huge components of the Buckeyes win against Maryland on Saturday. Wilson finished with 5 receptions for 84 yards and 2 touchdowns, while Smith-Njigba finished with 5 receptions for 103 yards.
Even just outside of this game, they’ve been used heavily on a weekly basis. Wilson has caught 31 passes for 546 yards and 6 touchdowns through 6 games and he’s on pace to shatter his numbers from last season. For reference, he finished with 43 receptions for 723 yards and 6 touchdowns.
Smith-Njigba has already surpassed his numbers from last season as he currently has 23 receptions for 452 yards and 3 touchdowns.
The Buckeyes will need both to continue this level of production if they are to keep running the table the rest of the way.
