Parking lot incident results in felony charge for SEC WR

An SEC wide receiver is facing some legal trouble following a parking lot incident, according to multiple reports.
Georgia receiver Demetris Robertson is reportedly facing a felony charge for a parking lot incident that occurred earlier this month. The University of Georgia parking service has accused Robertson of stealing a parking boot, which is a felony charge of Interference with Government Property. The Theft by Taking charge is a misdemeanor.
The UGA police department record, shared by Lance McCurley of the Lake Oconee News, says the incident occurred last weekend. Warrants were reportedly issued on Thursday.
Robertson started his college career at Cal but transferred to Georgia after two seasons. Since gaining eligibility for the Bulldogs in 2018, the receiver has caught 42 passes for 443 yards and 3 touchdowns, as well as taking 10 rushes for 161 yards and a score.
He’s played in 32 career games with the Dawgs.
Recently, Robertson announced that he will return to Georgia for one more season. The Bulldogs will be one of the favorites to win the SEC East and challenge for a spot in the College Football Playoff.
