Northwestern had a bye in Week 2, which seemed a bit odd.
The bye came after the Wildcats’ loss at Stanford in Week 1, which leaves Northwestern win-less through the first two weeks of the season. Regardless of only playing one game, the Wildcats still endured injuries and there are question marks surrounding those injuries — just like with every other team.

On Monday, coach Pat Fitzgerald met with the media and was asked about one injury in particular. Fitzgerald didn’t end up giving the reporter the exact answer he was looking for.
Why?
Because the injury report comes out on Thursday:

Reporters just shouldn’t ask Fitzgerald about injury updates. If we’ve learned anything from today, it’s that.
Northwestern is scheduled to play UNLV at 3:30 p.m. ET on Saturday at home. The game will be televised on BTN.
