Pat McAfee hauls in Noah Ruggles’ 4th-quarter FG with one-handed snag during broadcast

Pat McAfee was in the perfect spot for one of Noah Ruggles’ 4th quarter-field goals for Ohio State.
McAfee caught the 48-yard FG attempt by Noah Ruggles which made the score 41-35. Even more impressive, McAfee made the one-handed snag while doing part of the live coverage for ESPN.

Unfortunately for Buckeye fans, the lead would not hold. After the 48-yard FG from Ruggles, the Bulldogs got the ball back with just under a minute to go. Georgia would march down the field and end the drive with a 10-yard TD by Adobai Mitchell.
With less than a minute left, and the Buckeyes down by 1, it seemed like anybody’s ballgame.

CJ Stroud got the Buckeyes down to the 32-yard line to set up a 50-yard FG attempt for Noah Ruggles. Ruggles would go on to miss the kick, giving the Bulldogs a 42-41 victory.
The Bulldogs will now face the TCU Horned Frogs in the National Championship Game on Jan. 9.
