Paul Chryst provides injury updates for 2 Badger cornerbacks

Wisconsin’s secondary is banged up heading into the Badgers’ Week 2 matchup against Washington State.
Safety Hunter Wohler has already been ruled out of the Week 2 bout, but head coach Paul Chryst is cautiously optimistic that senior cornerbacks Alexander Smith and Justin Clark can play Saturday, despite being listed as questionable.

Both Smith and Clark were listed as out for Wisconsin’s Game 1 victory over Illinois State. Smith is projected to be a starting corner and Clark spent a lot of time at nickel and was the top option out of spring practice, per Wisconsin beat reporter Jesse Temple.
