Paul Finebaum made an appearance on ESPN’s SportsCenter Sunday morning to tackle all of the action from the Week 1 action. He addressed what went down in Columbus as Ohio State battled Notre Dame but didn’t put the Irish away until late in the game.

According to Finebaum, the pressure facing the Buckeyes got to the team a little bit before settling in and getting the win. However, he still has Ohio State at No. 3 in the country and expects the team to be in the College Football Playoff come December.

“Ohio State survived, and I think the team that impressed me the most is Notre Dame,” Finebaum explained. “I think the pressure of the moment got to (The Buckeyes).

“I think in the end, let’s calm down a bit. Ohio State has a really good path ahead. Yeah, they have a few difficult games on the road and of course Michigan at the end of the season, but I still think they’re going to get there come December.”

We’ll see if the Buckeyes are able to run the B1G and get into the Playoff. For now, Ohio State recovered from some early-game struggles to show it has a strong defense and stout rushing attack to go with the Buckeye passing attack.
