With only Michigan State losing to unranked Purdue Saturday night, the rest of the top 6 teams outside of Georgia, who again looked dominant, everyone else was lackluster at best.
Alabama won by 6 against unranked LSU 20-14, Ohio State escaped unranked Nebraska 26-17 on the road, Oregon came away with a 10 point 26-16 victory against Washington and Cincinnati needed some late-game heroics on the goal line to stop unranked Tulsa 28-20.
The 1 team that may have benefitted from all the chaos that ensued on Saturday is No. 8 Oklahoma. The Sooners had their bye week; they could do nothing but watch how other teams played. We will find out on Tuesday, but the Sooners could have benefitted from the idle week.
The 2nd edition of the CFP rankings comes out in between the 2 State Farm Champions Classic basketball games between Michigan State vs. Kansas and Duke vs. Kentucky.
