Paul Finebaum believes Jim Harbaugh leaves a “complicated legacy” at Michigan, but also a national championship.
Finebaum appeared on ESPN’s “Get Up” on Thursday and recalled how Harbaugh’s story fits a Hollywood script in that his salary was cut in half, he was left waiting for the Minnesota Vikings job, and now lands with the Los Angeles Chargers.
In terms of what’s next for Michigan, Finebaum expects Michigan to elevate offensive coordinator Sherrone Moore next week.
“But the issue is what’s going on around him,” Finebaum said. “Don’t forget, Greeny, the Big Ten is not what it was this year, you’ve got those 4 schools coming over from the Pac-12. And on top of that, here are the 2 things that Sherrone Moore will probably have to worry about. Second week of the season, at The Big House, they’re playing Texas, which was in the Final Four as everyone knows. Texas is going to be one of the top 2 or 3 teams in the country. At the end of the year, they go to Columbus, and this is not this year’s Ohio State team. Ohio State has just loaded up, especially in the portal. … Jim Harbaugh knows all about losing to Ohio State in Year 1.”
