Paul Finebaum on Michigan’s players and Jim Harbaugh’s quirks: ‘He galvanizes them, I don’t know how’

Jim Harbaugh has his quirks as a head coach, but Paul Finebaum he does a good job of bringing his team together and preparing them for tough games and situations.
With Harbaugh suspended 3-games, Finebaum believes the Michigan head coach has done a good job of preparing his team throughout the week and being a leader in his limited capacity.
“It will be fascinating to watch, because one thing about Michigan so far is they’ve won 2 fairly important games without Jim Harbaugh,” Finebaum said on Get Up on Tuesday. “He doesn’t call the plays, he does play an important role. He is the team leader, whether he quotes Ted Lasso or Shakespeare, the players still look over to him, and he galvanizes them, I don’t know how. But I talked to a recruit yesterday that’s going to Michigan and he said Harbaugh is not the same person on the sideline, and on the practice field, that he is in front of the TV cameras. So he can be effective. I do think the Ohio State defense may have something to say about it as well.”
Michigan is looking to close out its regular season and Harbaugh’s suspension with a win over Ohio State in The Game. The Wolverines managed in their first 2 games without Harbaugh, beating Penn State and Maryland, but Ohio State is a different beast. The Game will decide which team reaches the Big Ten Championship and could decide who makes the CFP.
