Completing a 12-0 regular season, the No. 1 Ohio State Buckeyes ran past the No. 14 Michigan Wolverines, 56-27, on November 30 at Michigan Stadium in Ann Arbor.

The Buckeyes’ eighth consecutive victory in the rivalry, Ohio State has won 15 of the last 16 meetings.

Now members of the National Football League’s New England Patriots, two former Wolverines – quarterback Tom Brady and defensive end Chase Winovich – had to pay the price for Michigan’s loss.

One of the pair’s teammates, Nate Ebner – a former Buckeye special teamer under Jim Tressel and Luke Fickell – shared this image on Twitter:

Another Patriot and former Buckeye, defensive end John Simon, finished Ebner’s message:

Wrapping up their regular season at 9-3, the Wolverines have the opportunity to reach 10 wins for the fourth time in Jim Harbaugh’s five-year tenure during their upcoming bowl game.

Ohio State battles No. 8 Wisconsin (10-2) in the B1G Championship Game at Lucas Oil Stadium in Indianapolis at 8:00 PM ET on Saturday.

Airing on FOX, Gus Johnson, Joel Klatt and “The All-American Girl” Jenny Taft will be on the call.

Standing at 10-2, Brady, Ebner, Simon, Winovich, and company have a one-game lead over the Buffalo Bills (9-3) in the AFC East. A rematch of last year’s conference championship game, New England hosts the Kansas City Chiefs (8-4) at 4:25 PM ET on Sunday on CBS.
