Penn State adds commitment from 4-star linebacker in class of 2024

Penn State picked up a commitment from 4-star linebacker Kari Jackson on Tuesday morning.

Jackson, a Michigan native, picked the Nittany Lions over programs like Purdue, Colorado, Stanford, Michigan State and numerous others.

Here’s his announcement:

Jackson attends West Bloomfield High School in West Bloomfield, Michigan. He’s listed at 6-foot-2, 215 pounds.

He’s a major addition for Penn State. Jackson is currently ranked as the No. 395 overall player and the No. 30 linebacker in the country, per 247Sports Composite rankings. He’s also the No. 9 player from the state of Michigan.

Penn State has been recruiting Jackson for a long time. He 1st received an offer from the Nittany Lions back on May 24, 2021.

Penn State is off to a strong start in the class of 2024. The Nittany Lions now have commitments from 3 prospects in that class — all 4-stars. The group ranks No. 21 nationally, per 247Sports Composite rankings.
